Personally, I'm not sure what the term "weather sealing" even means. I certainly wouldn't expect that to mean I could leave my gear out in a downpour of rain without worry of damage. Usually when a camera is weather sealed you will see various gaskets around the entry-points into the camera which, I assume, are intended to keep water out.
